Good morning!
Here I am, coming slowly towards what has been the most exciting and challenging year of my life. I have finally graduated university and am a full fledged teacher. Practicum was rough but I got through it and there are lots of changes coming my way! I made the choice to move to Prince George to try and get some teaching experience, why Prince George? Well let me tell you. I had heard that they were really in need of TOC's (teacher on call) and so I applied, was interviewed and got the job! Now, the REAL reason I came here was because I needed to save money to move to London, England! So here I am, hoping to get tons of work so that I can save all the money I need to go to England!
I still can't believe that I am going to be moving to England! I plan to stay for a full year working as a supply teacher (which is the same as a TOC). Better yet? My sister has agreed to come with me! She'll only be able to stay for 8 months before she has to go back to school but I couldn't be more excited for her to be coming with me. We plan on doing as much travelling as we can afford while we're there, all the big places that she's never seen. We'll do Paris, Scotland, Rome, Ireland, The Netherlands, and tons more places if we can swing it! The next step for me to be ready for England is to get my work visa all taken care of. The work visa is the reason why I need to save a bunch of money because I need the equivalent of 1800 pounds, which works out to just shy of $3000, which is why I'm living in Prince George right now. I'll save way more money as a teacher, as long as I get work, than I would if I was working at a grocery store. I'll be sure to post more as I get more prepared. My plan is to blog at least once a week while I'm gone...it might be a bit less leading up to it because I have to get back into the habit of blogging!
I'm excited too. I need to save money to visit.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so much fun! I hope you and mom can come out to visit us!
